IIT JAM Application Form 2023 will be released by September 2022 through the official JAM application portal. In order to appear for this admission test for masters, aspirants should fill the application form before the last date of submission. The portal provides an online interface for the candidates to interact with the administration. The facility for online registration and application will be available for post graduate courses, including M.Sc., joint M.Sc., PhD, integrated PhD, M.Sc. PhD dual programme and M.Sc. -MTech. Before starting with the blog, we would recommend the candidates to fill the application forms on their own. In case they get it filled through a third person, they must ensure that the data filled is correct before the final submission.

How to fill IIT JAM Online Application Form 2023?
Firstly, candidates are required to visit the official website of the organising institute of IIT JAM. Then upon clicking on ‘Application Login (JOAPS )’ they will be redirected to the application portal. Now, a registration window for iit jam online form will appear on the screen.
How to register for the IIT JAM application form?
Enter your name, a valid E-mail address that you use and check frequently, a working mobile number and a password.
Then choose a password that is easier to remember for you but difficult to be guessed by a third person. Keep this password safe and confidential.
Click on the “SUBMIT” button.
How to fill IIT JAM Online Application Form 2023?
Now add the details received by you and input the value of the given arithmetic expression and hit the SUBMIT button. (An email containing your enrollment ID will be sent to you at the email address as well as at the mobile number you filled during registration. The candidate would be required to use this Enrolment ID along with the password for all JAM 2022 related communications or website operations.)
After login, candidates are needed to click on “Edit Application Form” & fill the following details.
- Now enter personal details including name, phone number, Ensure that the name you enter while filling the details is the same as the name on the qualifying degree certificate. Prefixes such as Shri/Dr/Mrs/Mr. etc. should NOT be entered before your name.
In the next step, candidates would be required to verify their Email ID and Mobile Number by entering the OTPs given to them through their mail and Contact SMS.
After successful verification, add other details like date of birth(dob), gender, etc.
Then enter the address details and valid personal ID information under the Communication Details section.
Then add Qualifying degree, percentage of marks/CGPA, year of passing, college name and address, etc. under the “Qualifying details degree” section.
Then move on to the “Upload documents” section and choose files from your device to upload photographs and signatures. Check below the requirements to ensure the documents uploaded do not lead to rejection of the IIT JAM application.

Photograph Requirements
Uploading photographs and signatures that do not meet the specifications mentioned below can result in disqualification of the application.
Upload a recent coloured photograph such that it matches with your appearance on the day of the examination.
Photograph Size/ Dimension- passport size (3.5 cm Width × 4.5 cm Height) photograph
File size: 5 KB to 200 KB
Background Colour: Preferably White or any other light colour
JPEG format
Maximum Pixel Size- 480×640, Minimum Pixel Size- 240×320
The face should occupy at least 50% of the area of the photograph
The candidate must upload a picture with full-face view looking into the camera directly.
The main features of the face must not be covered by hair, any cloth or any shadow.
Forehead, eyes, nose and chin should be clearly visible.
Mobile phone & other self-composed portraits are not accepted.
Specifications for people who wear spectacles- Photograph with dark or tinted glasses or glare on glasses is NOT acceptable; if glare cannot be avoided, take a picture without wearing the spectacles.( Only clear glasses are permitted.)

Signature Requirements
Allowed Inks- Black/blue pen inks
Specification- Sign inside a rectangular box of size 2 cm × 7 cm (Height × Width) on a white paper. Do NOT sign with complete capital letters.
Format: JPEG/ JPG format
Dimension: 2 cm × 7 cm (Height × Width).
Maximum Size: 160×560 in pixels, Minimum Size: 80×280 in pixels.

After you are done uploading the images, verify the details you have entered and check the box that reads “I accept the declaration.”
Then tap on the “proceed to payment” button and you will be redirected to the payment portal.
You can make the payment through the following modes: Net-banking/debit card/credit card/UPI. Enter details for fee payment and pay the application fee through their desired mode of payment. Note that the application fee is non-refundable.

Once candidates make payment and payment is successful, they will receive a payment confirmation notification in the JOAPS Portal.
If you had selected only one paper while filling the form, you will be provided with the option to choose a second paper. If you desire to choose a second paper, you can do so and proceed by paying the additional fee for the second paper.
After completing all steps of the application form, students are suggested to print the IIT JAM application form and keep it for further use.
